Our business, Ascort Indian Clothing Private Limited, is run out of Village Dharampur. We are care of Ramesh Chand. Being located in a village is quite different from the typical city setup. It’s much more grounded and tied to the local area. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls. Our workspace is simple and fits right into the village environment. Ramesh Chand has been a part of this community for a long time, and we work together to keep things moving. We mostly focus on Indian clothing, and a lot of the work is done in a very traditional way. It’s not about high-tech machines here. It’s about the people and the skills they have. The pace can be a bit slower than the city, but we like it that way. We get to know everyone who helps us out. Sometimes it’s a bit of a challenge being further away from the main supply lines, but we’ve found ways to make it work over the years. We handle all the day-to-day tasks ourselves, from checking the fabric to making sure the final pieces are ready. It’s a humble operation, but it’s ours. We aren't looking to become some giant corporation. We just want to keep doing what we do here in Dharampur, making clothes that represent our local roots and keeping our small team busy with the work we know best.
