Amar Auto

You can find Amar Auto right opposite the Gayatri Mandir Road in Amli, over in Silvassa. It is a noisy street sometimes with all the traffic going by. I spend my days surrounded by engine parts and the smell of oil. People bring in their cars or bikes when something isn't sounding right, and we take a look. It is a practical kind of job. Sometimes it is just a simple oil change, other times we are digging into a gearbox for hours. I have got tools scattered all over the workbench, but I know where everything is. The shop is a bit small but we make it work. Most of our customers are locals who live nearby or pass through on their way to work. We don't do much advertising; people just know we're here because of the location. My shirt usually has a few grease stains by lunchtime. Silvassa has grown a lot, and there are more vehicles on the road than ever, which keeps us pretty occupied. We just focus on fixing what is broken and getting people back on the road. It is not fancy work, but it is what we know how to do. If the shutters are up, we are open and ready to work. We try to be fair with people and just tell them what needs doing without any extra talk. It is just about keeping the engines running and the wheels turning.
