Akash Clinic

Started here at Shroff Building quite some time back. It’s on the first floor. Azad Chowk is usually busy, especially being right opposite Vasant Talkies. Sometimes you can hear the noise from the street while we are working, but you get used to it. The stairs are a bit steep for some folks, but most manage okay. We spend most of our day here seeing people from around Valsad. It isn't a fancy place with big lights or anything like that. Just some chairs, a desk, and the medical stuff we need. My father knew this area well, and that is why we stayed. We keep things pretty simple. If someone has a fever or a cough, they come up. Sometimes it gets crowded in the small waiting area, especially in the evenings when everyone finishes work. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us making sure things run. We know the neighbors and the shopkeepers downstairs. It feels more like a part of the community than a business. The fan in the corner makes a bit of a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving. People ask us where to find things in the market all the time. It’s just how it is here. We try to keep things organized but sometimes papers pile up on the desk. That’s just life at the clinic in Gujarat. We’ve seen kids grow up and bring their own kids here now. It’s rewarding in its own way without needing to be anything more than it is.
