Max Power Gears

Our workshop is right on National Highway No. 8, specifically at the Abrama Cross Road. If you are driving through Valsad, you have probably passed Max Power Gears without thinking twice. It is a loud place. Between the machines running and the trucks flying by on the highway, there is never really any silence. We have a lot of heavy metal around and the smell of grease is pretty much stuck in our clothes. It gets hot in there during the summer, but we just open the doors and keep going. We have been making gears for quite a while. It is dusty work and your hands are rarely clean. We don't spend money on fancy signs or shiny floors. The floor is concrete and it has seen better days, but it holds up. Most of the guys here have been with us for years. We know the machines and we know how to fix them when they act up. It is not the kind of job where you sit at a desk. You are on your feet, listening to the rhythm of the shop. People stop in from the road sometimes because they saw the sign. We talk shop, show them what we are working on, and get back to it. It is honest work in a busy part of Abrama. We like being near the highway; it feels like we are part of the movement.
