We are located out in Village Umarsadi which is in the Taluka Pardi Killa Pardi area of District Valsad. It’s a lot different out here compared to the big cities. Most of our work revolves around the local farms and the crops they grow in this part of Gujarat. We spend a lot of time in the warehouse checking the quality of the food before it gets packed up to be sent away. The roads around Umarsadi can be a bit bumpy especially when the rain starts in the monsoon season. We have a team of local people from the village who come in every day to help with the sorting and the packing. It’s hard work and the days are long during the harvest times. Valsad is known for its fruit and we see a lot of it passing through our doors. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s a practical workspace with high ceilings and big doors for the trucks. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a shipment and the only sound is the crickets outside in the fields. We’ve been part of this community for a while and we know the farmers pretty well. They bring their produce in and we take it from there. It’s a simple process but it requires a lot of attention to detail to make sure everything is right for export.
