SMGM NIDHI LIMITED

If you head over to Pataili in the Ujiyarpur block, you will find SMGM Nidhi Limited. We operate out of a space provided by Sanjay Kumar in the village of Hasauli. It is a quiet corner of the village, and you can usually hear the birds or the sound of someone working in the nearby garden while we sit at our desks. The office itself is quite small, just one main room where we keep all the registers and some basic chairs for visitors. We don't have a receptionist or any of those fancy things you see in the city. Usually, one of us just looks up from the ledger when someone walks in. The walls are painted a light color that has started to fade a bit near the floor, and there is a calendar from last year still hanging on the back wall because nobody bothered to take it down. We handle everything manually, writing out entries and checking them twice to make sure there are no mistakes. It is honest work, and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun starts to set. The Ujiyarpur area is mostly farming land, so things get a little slower during the harvest when everyone is out in the fields. We like the pace here, and we don't feel the need to rush through things just for the sake of it. It is just a plain office in a nice village. People stop by to chat about the crops sometimes while they are here.
