Larsen & Toubro

Our location is in Vill-Chakdaria, right near the Lalganj post office in Bihar. It’s a small place, really. You wouldn't think a big name like Larsen & Toubro would be out here, but here we are. The office is basically just a room with some benches and a couple of old computers. We spend a lot of our time out on the field, so the office is mostly for catching up on notes and filing. It gets very hot in Bihar during the summer, so we usually start our days very early to beat the sun before it gets unbearable. The locals all know where we are, right in the heart of Chakdaria. We aren't fancy people. We like to sit outside when the sun goes down and talk about the next day’s plans or whatever is happening in the village. The roads can be a bit rough after the monsoon, so getting supplies in takes some patience and a good driver. We don't have a mission statement hanging on the wall. Instead, we have a list of things that need to be fixed or moved. It’s a very hands-on kind of environment. We take pride in just getting the job done without making a fuss about it. That is how things work in Lalganj, and we wouldn't want it any other way. It is just how we do things here every single week without fail.
