D.R.D.A Muzaffarpur, Govt. Of Bihar

We are based at the Gandhi Ashram in Hajipur, care of Sri Bindeshwari Rai. It is a unique place for an office, especially with all the history associated with this part of the Vaishali district. We manage the D.R.D.A Muzaffarpur, which is a government entity for Bihar, even though we are physically located here in Hajipur. It is a government setup, so there is never any shortage of paperwork to deal with. The office feels like a typical government workspace with heavy wooden desks, thick files tied with red string, and people coming in and out all day to ask about various rural development schemes. We spend a good amount of time traveling back and forth between Hajipur and Muzaffarpur to check on things. The roads are not always in the best shape, but we are used to the bumps by now. It is not a very fast-paced environment, but there is always a long list of things that need to be signed or filed by the end of the week. Being near the ashram gives the area a bit of a peaceful vibe when we step outside for a quick break. We do not have a marketing team or any flashy advertisements. Most people find us because they need to for official business. We just try to get through the stack of documents on our desks every day. It is steady work that has been going on for a long time.
