Annapurna Rice Mills

Our place is located at Post Sahata in the Raghunathpur area. Being in District Vaishali, we are surrounded by a lot of farming land. It’s a quiet spot most of the time, except when the machinery is going full tilt. We spend most of our days dealing with the local farmers who bring their loads in by the cartload. The mill has been part of this community for a while now. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation with fancy logos. It's just a local business where we know most people who walk through the door. Sometimes the roads around here get a bit muddy during the rainy season, which makes transport a little slow for everyone. We just deal with it as it comes. Inside the mill, there is always a layer of husks on the floor. We sweep it up but it always seems to come back. That is just the life of a rice miller in Sahata. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team to promote us. If someone needs their rice processed, they just show up and we talk. It’s a hands-on kind of job. We mostly focus on getting the work finished so people can get their grain back home. The seasons dictate how busy we are. Right now, things are steady. We keep the equipment running and hope for good weather for the harvest. It’s hard work but it’s what we know how to do every single day.
