You can find us at the Panakkaparambil House in Vaduthala, Cochin. Panakkaparambil Furnitures is basically a family-run kind of place. We’ve been dealing with wood and furniture for a long time. The workshop is right there, and you can usually hear the sawing and sanding from the street. It’s a bit dusty, which comes with the territory when you’re making tables and chairs. We don't have a big, fancy showroom with bright lights and air conditioning. It’s more of a practical space where we show what we’ve been working on. People come in from around Vaduthala to see what we have or to talk about something specific they need for their homes. Cochin is a busy city, but our corner feels a bit more grounded. We use traditional methods mostly because that’s how we learned. We aren't trying to be some modern design studio. We just make sturdy stuff that lasts. Sometimes we have a lot of finished pieces ready, and other times we’re just starting on a big order. It’s honest labor. We put in the hours and hope the customers are satisfied with the results. Most of our business comes from people telling their neighbors about us. We’ve been in this house for years, and it’s where we do everything. It’s just how we live and work. The smell of fresh sawdust is something we never really get tired of, even after all this time. It feels like home to us.
