Yusuf A Shaikh

My name is Yusuf A Shaikh and my place is on Richmond Road in Vadodara, very close to the main road. It’s a busy spot, which is exactly why I like it. You can see everything happening from here. The office is just a simple room where I keep my records and meet people who need my help. It’s not polished or shiny. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the floor has some scuffs from all the people walking in and out over the years. I’ve lived in Vadodara all my life, so I know how things work around here. Richmond Road is always humming with traffic, which can be a bit much in the afternoon heat, but it means we are easy to get to. I don’t use those long, complicated business plans you hear about on the news. I just wake up, come to the office, and handle whatever comes my way. Sometimes it’s busy, sometimes it’s slow, but it’s always my own. I have a small kettle for making tea for guests, and we usually sit and talk for a bit before getting down to any real business. It’s a more human way of doing things, I think. I’m not trying to build an empire, just making a living and helping out the locals who stop by. It’s a plain, simple life on the main road and I am quite content with it.
