Yash Camera Repairing Centre

Our shop is at G/5 in Vasudev Nivas, which is part of the Dandia Bazar area. We’re right in Wilson Garden, near Ami Apartment and just across from the Khanderao Market on Rajmahal Road. It’s an old part of the city with a lot of character. We spend most of our time hunched over workbenches fixing cameras. All sorts of cameras come through the door, from old film ones to the newer digital models. It’s a lot of fine work with small parts and screwdrivers. The shop smells a bit like oil and electronics. We’ve been at this for a long time, so we’ve seen how cameras have changed over the decades. It’s not a big, shiny store. It’s a workshop, plain and simple. People find us because they have a lens that’s stuck or a shutter that won’t fire. Being near the market means there’s always a lot of foot traffic outside. Sometimes people just pop in to ask a question about their gear. We don't mind. We just like fixing things that are broken. It’s a quiet life in the shop compared to the noise of Rajmahal Road. We try to get things back to people as quick as we can, but some repairs just take time. It's a specialized skill that not many people do anymore, especially with everyone using phones for photos. But there are still plenty of folks who care about their old cameras, and we're happy to help them out.
