Our shop is located at 19 United Colony, right near the E.M.E. Circle on Sama Road. It is a small place where we spend most of our time looking at small parts and gears. Working with watches requires a lot of sitting and being quiet, so that is usually what the atmosphere is like here. The street outside is busy with traffic going toward the circle, but inside it stays fairly calm. We have some glass cases where we keep the watches we have for sale. Sometimes they need a bit of cleaning because of the dust that comes in from the road. We handle battery changes and minor fixes mostly. It’s the kind of work that takes a lot of patience. We’ve been here in this part of town long enough that we know many of the regular faces. People drop off their watches and come back later in the week. We don't have a big staff or anything like that. It's just a few of us making sure everything is ticking correctly. The lights are bright so we can see the small components clearly. Sometimes we have to wait for parts to arrive, which can be a bit slow. But that is just part of the job at Western Watches. We open up in the morning and stay until the evening. It’s a steady routine. Nothing too complicated about it. We just do our work and look after the customers who walk in. The shop is small and we like it that way. It's easier to keep track of things and make sure the place is looked after.
