We have been at Plot No. C-1/198-199 for a long time now. Most days start pretty early here in Waghodia, right inside the Phase II GIDC area. The commute from Vadodara can be a bit of a stretch depending on the morning traffic, but we always get here. The shop floor is usually where everything happens. It gets noisy with the electrode work, but that is just how the job is. It is not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a lot of metal and people trying to get their tasks done before the sun goes down. Sometimes the power cuts out for a minute and we just sit and wait it out. My desk is covered in papers and some old coffee mugs from the morning. We have had this spot in the estate for years. People know us by the plot number mostly. If you are coming from the main road, you have to take that sharp turn near the big gate. It is a dusty place in the summer months. We do not spend much time worrying about how the building looks on the outside. Inside, it is just machines and raw materials stacked up against the walls. We keep a small crew and most of the guys have been here since we first opened. It is a living. We do what we have to do and then head home to our families. No big speeches or fancy posters on the wall here. Just the address in Gujarat and the work we do every day.
