I've been working out of the Ashwamegh Complex for quite some time now. It’s right on Palace Road, which usually gets pretty busy during the middle of the day. If you know the area, you probably know the Sayaji Vihar Club across the street. People use that as a landmark when they’re trying to find me. The building itself has seen a lot of years go by. It isn't the fanciest place in town, but it works for what I do. Most mornings start with a quick tea from the stall nearby before I get into the day's tasks. The traffic noise outside is just part of the background now. I spend most of my time here at the desk, sorting through papers and dealing with whatever comes through the door. It's a simple setup. There are a few other shops and offices in the complex, so there's always someone walking by in the hallway. Sometimes the lift is a bit slow, so I just take the stairs if I'm in a hurry. Being right across from the club is handy because most rickshaw drivers know exactly where that is. It saves a lot of time giving directions over the phone. I like being in this part of town because everything is close. You can find almost anything you need within a short walk. It’s a bit dusty with the road construction nearby lately, but that’s just how things go. We just keep the windows shut and get on with the work.
