Vijay Photo Studio

We have been sitting here in Vadodara for quite some time now at Vijay Photo Studio. It is just a small place but it gets the job done when people need photos. Most days start with turning on the big lights and wiping the dust off the camera lenses because the city can get pretty sandy. People come in for all sorts of things, mostly passport photos or small family shots where the kids won’t sit still. We have a couple of backdrops that have seen better days but they still look okay in the final print. Sometimes the printer acts up and we have to spend an hour messing with the ink cartridges, which is a real pain. It is not like those fancy studios you see in the movies with white walls and expensive coffee. We just have a few chairs and a desk where we do the editing on an old computer that hums a bit too loud. Sometimes neighbors drop by just to chat about the weather or the traffic on the main road. We don’t really do much advertising because people around here just know where we are. It’s a simple life, mostly just clicking buttons and hoping everyone smiles at the right time. When the wedding season hits, things get a bit more hectic and we are out more than we are in. But mostly, it’s just us here in the studio, waiting for the next person to walk through the door.
