We've been at 4/1 in the Gorwa Industrial Estate for quite a while now. Most mornings start with unlocking the big metal shutter and checking what came in overnight. It’s usually a bit dusty because of the trucks moving around the estate, but that’s just how it is here. My desk is covered in papers and old coffee mugs. Vibha Trading Corporation isn't a fancy place with glass walls or anything like that. We mostly just focus on getting the trading orders sorted out before the afternoon heat gets too bad. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the neighbor’s radio. We handle a lot of different items, so there’s always something to move or count. The staff here has been around for years, so we all know where everything is kept, even if it looks like a mess to someone walking in from the street. It’s a lot of manual work, checking lists and making sure the crates are packed right. We don’t really do much in the way of big meetings. Usually, we just talk over the partitions or while we're standing near the loading area. It’s just a normal business doing its thing in Vadodara. If you come by, you’ll probably see us arguing about where to put the new stock or trying to fix the printer again. It's a living, and we keep at it day after day without much fuss.
