Urja Burns Centre

Urja Burns Centre is over on Pratap Road in the Dandia Bazar area. It’s a busy part of the city with lots of old buildings and narrow streets. Our center is a practical place where we focus on treating burn injuries. It’s serious work, so the atmosphere inside is usually quite calm and quiet. We don't have any fancy decorations or marketing posters. The walls are plain and we keep everything as clean as possible for the patients. Pratap Road can be very noisy with the market nearby, but we’ve gotten used to the sound over the years. We have a small team of people who have been working here for a long time. We don't have a big budget for fancy things, so we just focus on the medical side of things. Most people who come here are sent by other doctors or they know us because we’ve been in Dandia Bazar for so long. We don't use a lot of corporate language or have a mission statement on the wall. We just see the patients, talk to their families, and do what needs to be done. It’s a tough job and the days can be long, but we just take it one patient at a time. We don't do any advertising. Our work is mostly known by word of mouth in the local community. It’s a humble place but we try to be as helpful as we can.
