Twib Chem Industries

If you go down to the GIDC Estate in Nandesari, you’ll find us at 109/1. That’s where Twib Chem Industries operates. It’s an industrial area, so don’t expect anything pretty or clean. There’s a lot of noise from the neighboring factories and the roads can get pretty rough with all the heavy trucks. Our place is basically a factory floor with some small office space carved out in the corner. We spend most of our time dealing with chemical mixtures and making sure the machinery is running like it’s supposed to. It gets really hot in the summer, especially near the processing units. We wear our boots and gear all day, which isn't always comfortable but it’s just the way it is. The smell of chemicals is something you get used to after a week of working here. We have a small crew and most of the guys have been with us for a long time. We eat lunch together in a small shed out back. It’s not corporate life at all. We have ledgers that are starting to fall apart and we still write a lot of things down by hand because it's faster. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a batch or wait for a tanker to arrive. It’s honest work and it keeps the lights on. We just try to get the product out without any trouble.
