The Professional Accountant

Our office is SB/2 in the Shyam Niwas Flats. We are located at Urmi Char Rasta in the Akota area of Vadodara. Since we are in a residential flat, it is a very calm and quiet place to work most of the time. We are accountants, so our day is mostly spent looking at numbers and filling out forms. The office has a lot of shelves for all the files and ledgers we have to keep track of. It is a small setup with just a couple of us working here. We don't have a big sign outside, just a simple one on the door so people can find the right flat. Being in Akota is good because it’s easy for our clients to reach us without going into the very center of the city. We often have people dropping off their documents in the morning on their way to work. We usually have a pot of tea going and the radio playing quietly in the background. It is not a high-pressure environment. We just take our time and make sure the figures are right. Sometimes we talk to the people living in the other flats when we go out for lunch. It feels more like being part of a neighborhood than being in a business district. We’ve been at this for years and we like the simple, honest way we have things set up here in Shyam Niwas. We don’t need anything fancier than this.
