Springlock Industries

You can find us at 160 GIDC on Makarpura Road. It’s a pretty standard industrial shed, nothing too special. The machines are running most of the day, so it’s never really quiet here. We make springs and locks, and there’s always a pile of metal shavings near the lathes. The air usually smells like cutting oil and old coffee. We don't have a big front office, just a small desk where the invoices get signed. Most of the action happens on the floor. It’s hot in the summer, but we’ve got some big fans that help a bit. The trucks come in and out of GIDC all day long, so it gets crowded on the road. We’ve got a small crew, mostly guys who have been doing this for years. They know the sound of a machine going wrong before it even happens. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, it’s just people who need parts for their own machines calling us up. We keep a lot of stock on the racks, though it’s hard to keep it organized when things are moving fast. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, but we know where everything is. We just focus on getting the orders out the door so we can get home. It’s honest work, and we like being part of the Makarpura crowd. We just keep our heads down and get the metal bent right.
