Sigma Scientific Glass Pvt. Ltd. We are based at Plot No. 4606 in the GIDC Estate. Making glass for labs and industry is what we do. It’s delicate work but in a very industrial setting. The heat from the furnaces makes the place quite warm, especially in the summer. We’ve been in GIDC for quite a while now. Most people think glass making is all automated now, but we still do a lot of it by hand because machines can't always get the shapes right. My father started working with glass, and I just followed along. We make tubes, flasks, and all sorts of things that scientists use. It’s a quiet kind of work, even though the estate itself is loud. We have to be careful because one wrong move and everything shatters. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. People who need scientific glass usually know where to find us. We keep our heads down and focus on the quality of the glass. Sometimes a batch doesn't come out right and we have to start over, which is frustrating but part of the trade. It’s a small team here, and we all know each other well. Just a regular business trying to make things that last. The packing area is always full of bubble wrap and boxes to make sure nothing breaks during the transport.
