We set up Shri Krishna Transports Service right behind Vidya Nagar Society. The address is 1 Fatepura D.P Road, and it’s a pretty easy spot to find once you’re in the neighborhood. We’ve been here for years, watching the houses go up and the roads get busier. It’s not a corporate office with a lobby or a receptionist. Usually, it’s just one of us sitting at the table with the ledger. We handle a lot of the local transport needs. Being behind the society means we don’t get all the main road noise, which is nice for actually getting work done. I started this because I knew the roads well and had a couple of contacts. Now it’s just the daily grind. We don't make big promises or use fancy words. If we can do it, we say so. If we can't, we tell you that too. The D.P Road area has its quirks, especially during the monsoon when the puddles get big. But we stay open and keep the trucks moving. It’s hard work and the hours are long, but that’s the nature of transport. My family helps out sometimes when things get really busy. It’s a local business through and through. Nothing more and nothing less than that. We just keep our heads down and work. The neighborhood knows us and we know the neighborhood. That is how things are.
