Shree Ambika Hardware & Ply

Our place is located at Soma Talav, specifically at the corner of 19th Cross and 8th Main, units 21 and 22. It’s a hardware and plywood shop, so as you can imagine, it smells like wood and metal in here. We have stacks of plywood leaning against the walls and boxes of screws and hinges everywhere. It’s not the most organized looking place, but there is a system to the mess at Shree Ambika Hardware & Ply. Most people come in looking for stuff to fix their houses or for some furniture they are building. We spend a lot of time cutting wood to size or counting out hardware pieces. The floor is usually covered in sawdust by the afternoon. We're just regular people working a regular job. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop where people can come and talk to us. Dealing with heavy sheets of ply is hard on the arms, but we've gotten used to it over the years. We've seen the neighborhood around Soma Talav change quite a bit since we started. Some of the old shops are gone, but we're still here at the same spot. We don't do any big advertisements. People usually find us by word of mouth or just because they live nearby. It’s a simple business. We just open the shutters in the morning and see what the day brings. Usually, there is some coffee and a bit of a chat before we get to the heavy lifting.
