We are tucked away in Subhanpura, over in Baroda. If you go behind the Arunachal Society, you’ll find us at number 7 in Pragati Nagar. It’s a bit of a residential area, so it’s not too loud. Shon Ceramics has been our main focus for a long time. The space we have is filled with all sorts of things related to ceramics. It’s not a showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a workshop where things actually get made and moved around. The floors are usually covered in some kind of dust or clay bits because that’s the nature of the work. We don't mind it. We’ve lived in Gujarat all our lives, and Baroda is a good place to be based. The sun gets really bright through the windows in the afternoon, so we usually have to pull the shades. We spend a lot of time checking the inventory and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s just a handful of us working here. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just do the work and handle the orders as they come in. Pragati Nagar is a friendly neighborhood. Sometimes the local kids play cricket on the street outside our gate. It feels like a very normal, local place to spend the day. We stay pretty busy from Monday to Saturday, just keeping the business going and making sure our records are straight. It's a quiet life, but we like the work we do here.
