Bright Laundry

Bright Laundry is located at C/5 Shivangi Society, right opposite the Snow Pearls bungalows. It is a busy spot near Vasna Jakat Naka, and you can usually smell the soap from down the street. We have several machines running all day long, and the sound of water and spinning drums is the background to everything we do here in Vasna. The shop is often filled with piles of clothes waiting to be sorted or folded. We spend a lot of time checking pockets and making sure everything is labeled correctly so things do not get mixed up. It gets quite humid inside because of the steam from the irons, but we are used to it by now. People from the society and the nearby houses drop off their bags in the morning on their way to work. We spend the rest of the day washing, drying, and trying to get the wrinkles out of shirts. It is a lot of repetitive work, but it keeps us busy. The shelves are usually stacked high with neatly wrapped bundles ready for pickup. Sometimes the machines act up or we run low on detergent, and we have to scramble to get things back on track. We are just a small local laundry trying to keep up with the daily load. It is a simple life of fabric and soap in a quiet corner of the neighborhood.
