Shinde & Co. can be found at Shop No. 89 in Moti Tamboli Wad. We are directly opposite Azad Maidan and near the Old Lakkad Pitha. Having the maidan right across from us is great because we get a bit of open space and fresh air in the middle of the city. Our shop is a straightforward place where we handle our daily business. It is not a very large shop, so we have to be smart about how we stack our supplies. The area around Old Lakkad Pitha has a lot of history with wood and trade, and you can still feel that when you walk around. We have a couple of desks and some old wooden cupboards that have been around for decades. The floor is concrete and a bit stained, but it holds up well. We start our day when the sun is coming up over the maidan and we usually wrap things up as the evening games are finishing outside. It is a good place to work. We know most of the people who work in the nearby shops and we often share a newspaper or a cup of tea in the afternoons. There is no pressure to look like a big company. We are just a local business doing our part in the neighborhood. We keep things honest and just try to get through our to-do list every day.
