Shankar Packagings Ltd.

We are over at units 4-5-6 in the GIDC Estate. Shankar Packagings Ltd. has been operating out of these particular units for some time now. Being in an industrial estate like GIDC means it is always noisy and busy around here. There is a lot of sound from the machines running and the trucks coming and going, but that is just how it is for a packaging place. We handle all sorts of packaging, so there are always boxes and raw materials stacked up in the corner. Our space is not perfectly tidy by any means, but we know exactly where everything is located. It is a very hands-on kind of place to work. The guys on the shop floor know the machines inside and out. We do not have any polished marketing teams or people in fancy suits here. It is just us, the staff, and the work that needs doing before the day ends. Sometimes the heat in the estate gets to be a bit much in the summer, especially in the afternoons, but we keep the big fans going. Shankar Packagings Ltd. is a local fixture in this area. We have got neighbors in other units who have been in GIDC just as long as we have. We talk over the fence sometimes during breaks. It is a real community of workers. We focus on getting the packaging right so it does its job well. Nothing more and nothing less. It works for us and we just keep going.
