Shailesh Parikh

I work out of my place at 105 in the Ramjharukha Co Operative Housing Society. It's part of the Shiv Sagar Complex over in the Karelibaug area. My name is Shailesh Parikh, and this is where I handle all my professional tasks. It’s a residential area, so it stays fairly quiet, which is good for when I need to concentrate on the numbers or the paperwork. I don’t have a big staff or a corporate office downtown. Instead, I use this space because it is convenient and lets me keep things personal with everyone I work with. Most of the people who come to see me are from around here or have been referred by friends. There’s a small desk in the corner of the main room where I keep my computer and all the files. I try to stay organized, though sometimes the papers pile up when it gets busy. It’s not a formal environment. If you come by, we’ll probably just sit and talk through whatever you need while having a glass of water. I’ve lived in Karelibaug for a long time, so I know the community well. Being based in the Shiv Sagar Complex feels right because it’s part of the neighborhood. I don’t spend money on big ads. I just focus on doing the work properly and being available when someone calls. It’s a simple way to run a business, but it works for me and the people who visit.
