S Acharya & Co. is located in the Dev Shakti Apartment at F-1. We are right in Raopura, specifically in the Kapadi Pole area. It’s one of those older parts of the city where the streets are narrow and there’s history everywhere. Our office is on the ground floor, which makes it easy for people to step in. It’s not a very big space, but we have managed to fit everything we need inside. There are books everywhere and the smell of old paper. We mostly deal with local business owners and families from the neighborhood. Everyone knows everyone else around here. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing out notes. It’s the kind of work that doesn't change much from year to year. We don't have any flashy signs or big lights. Just our name on the door. Sometimes the street outside gets blocked by a cart or a delivery truck, but that’s just Raopura for you. We’ve grown used to the sounds of the neighborhood. It’s a busy place but we find our own pace inside. We just focus on the tasks at hand and make sure we don’t lose any important papers. It’s a simple way to run a business, and it seems to work for us. We have an old clock on the wall that ticks quite loudly, but we don’t even notice it anymore. We keep our windows open when the weather is nice. We like to feel connected to what’s happening outside Kapadi Pole.
