Sayajigunj is a busy part of Vadodara, and Manubhai Tower is one of those places everyone knows. We are in the "B" Wing, up on the sixth floor in room 608. The tower has been around for a long time, so the stairs are a bit worn and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. At Ronald Pharmaceuticals, we don't bother much with decor. We have our computers, our ledgers, and a couple of fans that stay on all day because the sun hits this side of the building pretty hard in the afternoon. It gets a bit stuffy, but nobody complains much. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and checking on shipments. It’s a lot of detail work, making sure the numbers are right and the dates are correct. There isn't any fancy lobby with plants; it’s just a door with our name on it. Most of us take our lunch breaks together, eating out of steel tiffins while we talk about the local news or the weather. It’s a straightforward way to live. We’ve had the same neighbors for years, and we all kind of look out for each other in the building. It’s not a high-pressure corporate environment, just a place where we do what needs to be done every day until it’s time to head home.
