Richa Knitwears

Richa Knitwears is located right in the heart of the Hosiery Complex at D-49-50/73-74. If you know this area, you know it’s always buzzing with trucks and rolls of fabric moving around. We’ve been set up here for a while, making different kinds of knitwear items. It’s a bit of a maze in this complex sometimes, but we’ve got a good space that fits all our machines. We didn't start off big. It was just a small room at first, but we slowly added more space over the years. Our team is mostly local people who know their way around a sewing machine. We spend our days checking patterns and making sure the stitching is tight. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we find a rhythm in it. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine breaks down, and that throws off the whole schedule. We just fix it and keep going. We aren’t really into fancy marketing or anything. People usually find us through other businesses in the complex. We make stuff that people actually wear, which feels good at the end of the day. The tea stall nearby is where we usually take our breaks and talk about the day’s production. It is a straightforward life here. We focus on the fabric and the finish. No complicated stories, just a lot of thread and hard work inside these walls.
