Ravi J Patil

Ravi J Patil is the name on the door here at 132 Makarpura. We are based in the Gangasar Complex, which is one of those older buildings that has seen a lot of people come and go over the years. Makarpura is always moving, always noisy with traffic. Our office is on a floor where the hallway light flickers sometimes, and we keep meaning to ask the caretaker to fix it. There is a lot of paper on my desk today. It’s just how it is when you’re trying to keep track of everything yourself. The windows look out over a busy stretch, so I usually keep them closed to block out the honking. I've been in this complex for a while now and I know most of the other guys working in the nearby units. We nod to each other in the morning and that’s about it. It’s a solid place to work, even if the stairs are a bit steep for my knees these days. We have a small cupboard for our bags and a kettle that takes forever to boil. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it’s where all the work happens. I try to keep things organized, but by Friday, everything is a bit of a mess. It's just a regular workplace for regular people. We don't need anything fancy to get the job done right. It's just business as usual every day.
