Chauhan Leather Stores

Chauhan Leather Stores is located on Vishram Modikhana Road in the Raopura area. This part of town has a lot of history, and you can smell the leather as soon as you turn the corner. We’ve been in this same spot for a long time. My family has always been around here. The shop is full of rolls of leather and tools. It’s a bit cramped, and there is always some dust in the air, but that’s just how a leather shop is. We don’t have a website or any fancy advertisements. People usually find us by word of mouth or by just walking past. We spend a lot of time talking to folks who come in looking for specific types of hides or pieces for their own projects. It’s a slow kind of work, cutting and measuring everything by hand. Sometimes we make a mistake and have to start over, but that’s part of the process. We aren't trying to compete with the big malls or the factory brands. We just like what we do and we like being in Raopura. The street is always loud with people and scooters, but inside the shop, it feels a bit more steady. It’s just us doing what we’ve always done, one day at a time, making sure things are cut right and the leather is handled properly.
