Down here in Gorwa, at Unit Number 1, things stay pretty steady for us. We are located at 2/13-14, which isn't the easiest place to find if you aren't familiar with the industrial layout around here. It’s a typical workspace with concrete floors and high ceilings that keep things relatively cool, even when the sun is beating down outside. We spend most of our hours handling whatever tasks come through the door that morning. There isn't a lot of decor on the walls, just some old calendars and the necessary paperwork pinned up near the main desk. We’ve got a small crew and everyone pretty much knows what they need to do without being told. Sometimes the trucks coming in and out of the units nearby make a lot of noise, but you get used to that after the first week. We drink a lot of tea while we go over the inventory and talk about what needs to be shipped out next. It’s not a glamorous setup, just a functional one where we can focus on the work at hand. We like it that way because it keeps things simple. If the power goes out, we just take a break and wait it out, chatting about whatever is happening in the neighborhood. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and we’ve been in this spot long enough that the walls feel like home. We just show up, do what’s required, and head back out.
