Our spot is a bit tucked away, so you really have to keep an eye out. We are located at C 8 on Harni Road. Most people know the Hare Rama Hare Krishna Industrial Estate, but even then, it can be a bit confusing because we are actually inside Krushnalal Society. It is a mix of houses and small work units here. I’m Rahul A Joshi and I spend most of my day in this office. It’s got a heavy metal door that’s a bit hard to open in the monsoon when the wood swells up. The industrial estate has its own rhythm, lots of trucks and loading going on nearby, but inside the society, it stays relatively quiet. We’ve got some plants outside the window that don’t get enough sun, but they survive anyway. The walls are a bit thin, so I can hear when the neighbor starts his bike. It’s not a corporate park with glass buildings and elevators. It is just a practical place where we keep our files and do our daily tasks. I like being here because the tea stall at the corner makes a decent cup and they know how I like it. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour in the afternoon, so we just sit outside and talk. It’s a simple life, nothing too complicated. We just do our work and head home when it is done. It works for what we need.
