Prerana S Gaekwad

Being located in the Nizampura Palace Compound gives my work a bit of a different feel than if I was just on a regular street. Prerana S Gaekwad is what it says on the sign, and I’ve been operating from this area for some time now. The compound has these old trees and a bit of history to it, which I quite like even if the walls are a bit crumbly in places. It’s a lot quieter here than out on the main Nizampura roads, which helps me focus on what I am doing. I usually get in early before the heat starts to really pick up. My setup is pretty basic—just a desk, some filing cabinets, and a computer that’s seen better days. I don't have a marketing team or anyone to polish my image. What you see is exactly what you get. I deal with a lot of local paperwork and people from the neighborhood who have known my family for years. It is a small operation, mostly just me handling the day-to-day tasks. Sometimes the mail gets mixed up because the compound is big, but we eventually sort it out. I enjoy the walk to work through the gates. It feels like a separate little world inside the city. I don’t try to be anything I’m not, just a person doing their job in a quiet corner of Nizampura. It’s a straightforward life and I have no complaints about how things have turned out.
