Our office for Prakash Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. is on the fifth floor of the Mayfair Atrium, right across from the Delhi Public School on Kalali-Vadsar Road. It’s a bit of a different vibe compared to a factory floor; it’s mostly computers, filing cabinets, and people on the phone. We handle a lot of the logistics for chemical distribution from here. Looking out the window, you can see the parents dropping off their kids at the school, which usually marks the start of our workday. The office is often quiet, filled with the sound of typing and the hum of the air conditioner. We deal with a lot of regulations and paperwork, so there are stacks of folders everywhere that need organizing. It’s not exactly the most exciting part of the chemical industry, but it’s what keeps everything moving behind the scenes. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and making sure the transport trucks are on schedule. Since we are in a commercial building, it’s quite professional, but inside our own doors, we’re just a small team that’s worked together for a long time. We don’t really go in for big corporate decorations; we just have some plants that someone remembers to water occasionally and some old photos on the desks. It’s a steady, reliable place to work, and we try to keep things running smoothly without too much fuss or unnecessary drama.
