Down here in Por, specifically at 63, Gidc Estate, things stay pretty busy. C K Zipper Pvt. Ltd. is basically a bunch of machines and people making sure zippers get made right. The Gidc Estate in Por-ramangamdi is an industrial area, so it’s always loud with trucks and other factories nearby. Vadodara gets really hot in the summer, and the workshop floor feels it. We spend our days around long rolls of tape and those tiny metal teeth. It’s repetitive work, but you have to pay attention or things get stuck. The office part is just off the main floor. We handle the orders and talk to the guys in the warehouse. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or find something else to clean. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. We just make zippers and try to keep the machines running without too many breakdowns. The address is a bit of a mouthful, but once you find us in the estate, it’s pretty straightforward. We’ve been in this part of Dist. Vadodara for a good bit now. Most of us live nearby, so we know the area well. It’s a standard factory life with lots of cardboard boxes and the smell of metal and grease everywhere. We just show up, do the work, and head back home like everyone else. It is just the way we have always done things.
