You can find us at 112 Palace Road. It’s a pretty well-known street around these parts. Pankaj P Gupta has been operating from this spot for a while. The building is one of those traditional ones with high ceilings and thick walls that stay cool even when it’s boiling outside. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, mostly just the essentials for the daily tasks. Palace Road is always full of life, with cars and cycles and people walking everywhere. Our door is usually open to let in some air, though it lets in the noise too. We have a small wooden desk that’s been here since we opened. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, so we just sit on the steps and talk to the neighbors. You can hear the bells from the temple nearby in the mornings. It’s a sound we have grown fond of over the years. It’s a very grounded way of doing things. We don’t go in for anything fancy or over-the-top. The neighbors know us by name and we know them. It feels more like a community than just a place of business. When we need something, we just walk down the street to the local shops. It’s practical and honest work we do at 112 Palace Road. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. Just a simple office where the day goes by at its own pace. It works for us.
