We set up our shop in Abhishek Complex, which is right near Akshar Chowk on Old Padra Road. It’s a good location because everyone knows where the chowk is. We deal with all sorts of lighting, from the stuff you put in your living room to bigger things for offices. The showroom has a lot of bulbs and fixtures hanging up, so it stays pretty bright in here even when it's cloudy outside. We’ve been working out of this complex for a while. It’s not a massive warehouse, but we have a good selection on display. People usually come in with a specific idea of what they need, or sometimes they're just confused about what fits their ceiling. We try to help them figure it out without making it complicated. The traffic on Old Padra Road can be a mess during rush hour, but once you get inside, it’s a lot more peaceful. We have a small storage area in the back for the boxed stock. My assistant handles the sales while I deal with the suppliers and the shipping. We aren't trying to be the biggest lighting company in the world. We just want to make sure people get lights that actually work when they flick the switch. It gets a little dusty on the top shelves, but we try to keep the glass clean. Most of our customers are from right here in the neighborhood.
