Novelty Watch

You can find Novelty Watch over at 1 Jada Khadi in Vadodara. It’s a quiet enough part of town most of the time. We’ve been set up here for a good bit now. The shop is small, but it holds everything we need to work on watches. We spend our hours mostly replacing batteries or fixing broken bands. Sometimes someone brings in a clock that hasn't worked in a decade. We take a look and see what we can do. It’s a lot of sitting and focused work. Jada Khadi has a certain feel to it, and we like being part of the community here. We aren't a big chain or anything like that. It’s just a simple shop. Sometimes the lighting isn't the best, but we make do with our desk lamps. We see all kinds of people coming through the door. Some are in a hurry, others like to chat while we work. We don't mind. It makes the day go by a bit faster. There’s always a pile of parts on the back table that need sorting. That’s just the nature of the business. We try to keep things honest and straightforward. If a watch can't be fixed, we just say so. No point in making things complicated. It’s just us here at Jada Khadi, doing what we know how to do. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background while we work.
