Novelty Bag Maker

We are over here near the Shreenath Petrol Pump on Magadi Main Road in Karelibaug. It is a busy spot with cars going by all day long. I spend most of my time at the workbench. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons but we have a small fan that helps. Novelty Bag Maker is just what it says on the sign really. We make bags of all kinds. Some people come in wanting a handle fixed and others want something new. The shop isn't fancy or anything like that. We have rolls of material sitting in the corner and thread everywhere. Sometimes the petrol pump next door gets a line of bikes and it gets noisy. My hands are usually a bit dirty from the machines. I have lived around here for a long time so I know the faces. It is a basic life but it keeps us busy. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down. Most of the work is just sewing and cutting. Sometimes a customer brings a heavy bag they bought somewhere else that broke. We try to help out when we can. The Karelibaug area has changed a lot since I started. More shops now. I just focus on the stitching and making sure the zippers work right. It is not much but it is what we do here every day. Just a small shop on the main road.
