If you ever walk by C1/73 in the Gidc Estate, you’ll probably smell us before you see us. We work with aromatics, so the air around the unit is always full of different scents. Some days it’s pleasant, other days it’s a bit overwhelming depending on what we’re mixing. We deal with a lot of liquids and oils. Most of our equipment is for blending and then getting everything into the right bottles or drums. It’s a lot of precise work because if you get the mix wrong, the whole batch is ruined. We’ve had that happen a few times, and it’s a pain to clean up. We aren't a massive company with a shiny glass building. We just have this one spot in the estate where we do our production. The floor is often a bit slippery, so we have to be careful. We spend a lot of time checking the seals on the containers to make sure nothing leaks out during transport. Our desk is cluttered with sample bottles and old logs. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just make the aromatic compounds that our clients order and try to get them delivered on time. It’s a steady job that keeps us busy from morning till night. We just go through our list of tasks and try to keep things moving.
