We are over at Plot No. A/2/22/3 in the Gidc Estate. It is an industrial area so there is always a lot going on around us. Our work involves a lot of barrels and containers. We spend time checking the labels and making sure everything is stored properly in the racks. It is not the kind of place you would visit for fun, but it is where we spend most of our waking hours. The building is sturdy and does what we need it to do. We have been here for quite a while now. Some of the equipment is old but we know how to keep it running. There is always a faint smell in the air, but you get used to it after a few minutes. We keep a log of everything that happens during the shift. It is a lot of walking back and forth across the concrete floor. We wear our boots and get to work as soon as we arrive. The Gidc estate has its own rhythm and we are just a small part of it. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just the main work area and a small room for breaks. We take our lunches together and talk about the news or the weather. It is a practical life. We focus on the tasks at hand and try to get home at a decent hour. Plot A/2/22/3 is where we are.
