Ester India

Our place, Ester India, sits on Plot No-128/29, 30 in the Gidc Estate. Having those extra plot numbers gives us a bit more room to breathe than some of the other folks nearby, but we still manage to fill every square inch with something. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between the different sections of the building. We’ve got the storage areas and the main workspace all connected together. The floor is concrete and has those stains that you can never quite get out, which I guess shows how much work has happened here over the years. We deal with whatever comes our way, mostly focusing on the daily production schedule. It’s not the kind of job where you sit down much. Most of the time, we are on our feet checking on the machines or talking to the drivers who come to pick up the finished goods. The Gidc Estate is always humming with some kind of activity, and we are just one part of that noise. We don't have any fancy signs or a big marketing department. It’s just a bunch of us showing up every morning, drinking some tea, and then getting to work on the orders. When things break, we fix them ourselves. That’s just the way we have always done things here at our little spot on the estate. It keeps us busy and out of trouble, which is enough for us at the end of the day.
