At Plot No-3 in the Gidc Estate, you will find Camphor And Allied Products Ltd. The first thing most people notice when they come near our plot is the smell. Camphor has a very strong scent that sticks to your clothes and stays in your hair long after you leave for the day. We’ve been here at Plot 3 for a long time, and the building shows its age a little bit. There are cracks in the exterior paint and the gate squeaks every time it opens, but inside, the production lines keep moving. It is a very specific kind of work, dealing with these materials and making sure the processing is handled just right. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. The office is just a small room with some old files and a computer that takes a minute to start up. We mostly focus on what’s happening in the vats and on the packing floor. It’s a busy place, especially when the orders come in all at once and we have to coordinate the loading of the trucks out front. The street outside is usually full of traffic, so getting things in and out can be a bit of a headache. But we’ve lived with it for years. It’s just our corner of the Gidc, and we are used to the rhythm of it. It’s not fancy, but it works for us. It’s just how things go here.
