Ajanta Chemical Industries

If you ever find yourself at the GIDC Estate, look for 124/30. That’s where Ajanta Chemical Industries is located. It’s a big industrial area, so there’s always a lot of noise and trucks moving around. We’ve been here for a good number of years now. Our days are filled with the smell of different chemicals and the sound of mixing machines. It’s hard work, and the floors are rarely perfectly clean, but that’s the nature of the business. We wear our safety gear and just get on with the production. Sometimes we stay late to finish a batch if a client is in a hurry. The office is just a small room at the front with a couple of old desks and a filing cabinet that sticks when you try to open the bottom drawer. We don't spend much time in there anyway. Most of the action is in the back. The workers have their own routine, and we try to keep things organized despite the constant flow of materials. It can get pretty hot in the summer under the tin roof, but we’re used to it. We deal with suppliers and distributors every day, and most of them have become friends over time. It’s a messy, busy, and honest way to make a living. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the drums are loaded onto the trucks correctly before the sun goes down.
