N-Mart Industries

Our workshop, N-Mart Industries, is located at No. 374/1 in the GIDC area of Makarpura. We’re right near the Hanuman Mandir, which is a good landmark for people trying to find us among all the other units. Being in an industrial estate means there is always the sound of machines and trucks around. We do a lot of small-scale manufacturing and fabrication here. The floor is usually covered in some metal shavings or dust, no matter how much we sweep it up. It’s a hardworking environment. We have a few lathes and some welding equipment that we use every day. My father started this place, and I’ve been running it for the last decade or so. We don't have an HR department or a marketing team. It’s just me, a supervisor, and about ten workers who know their jobs well. We get orders from bigger companies in the GIDC or sometimes from outside the state. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just take a drawing, see if we can make the part, and give a price. If it’s fair, we do the job. The summer heat in Makarpura is pretty bad, especially inside a tin-roof shed, but we have big fans to keep the air moving. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to stay busy and keep the machines running. It’s a simple life in the factory, and we like the routine.
