Munich Chemicals is situated at C-1/91/3 in the G.I.D.C. Estate in Nandesaari. If you’ve ever been to this part of Gujarat, you know it’s wall-to-wall factories and chemical plants. Our place is just one of those units, nothing too special to look at from the outside. It’s a lot of pipes, tanks, and concrete. We’ve been here for a good stretch of time now, and we’ve seen the estate grow and change. The work we do is pretty straightforward—we handle chemicals, process them, and send them out. It’s a dirty job sometimes, and you’re always wearing boots and safety gear. The office is just a small room off to the side where we keep the registers and the computer. It’s usually humming with the sound of the machinery nearby. We don’t have a big PR department or anything like that. It’s just a bunch of us making sure the production schedule is met and the safety checks are done. Sometimes the heat in Nandesaari is a bit much, but you get used to it. We drink a lot of water and just keep moving. It’s not a fancy place, and we don’t pretend it is. We’re just here to do the job we’re supposed to do. Most of our guys have been around for years, so we all know how the machines act up and how to fix them.
